Medium Combustion Plant Directive in final stages

BRUSSELS -- The presidency of the Council and the Parliament reached a provisional agreement on the text of the Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD), which was confirmed by the member states’ Permanent Representatives on 30 June. European Parliament gives conditional support to TTIP negotiations

STRASBOURG - Parliament adopted a resolution this week supporting the transatlantic trade deal, TTIP, but rejected a key US demand for an extra-judicial arbitration mechanism. EU Investment Plan ready to take off

BRUSSELS -- MEPs have validated the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), taking the EU one step closer to the role-out of the so-called Juncker Investment Plan. Designed to stimulate €315 billion of investment in the European Union, the Plan will primarily support innovative projects that would otherwise struggle to attract funding. Parliament calls for ambitious ‘circular economy’ targets

‘Odelia’ noise study almost half way

BRUSSELS -- The so-called ODELIA consortium dealing with the study on the suitability of the current limit values of directive 2000/14/EC relating to the noise emissions in the environment by equipment for use outdoor will publish very soon their interim study report. ‘Ecorys’ study on Road Circulation marches on
