CECE calls on legislator to close engine emissions file timely

BRUSSELS – The end of 2015 was the target date for a final agreement in the engines emissions file for non-road mobile machinery. However, the Trialogue discussions between the EU Parliament and EU Council are still in progress. Study on outdoor noise limits close to finalisation

BRUSSELS -- The ODELIA consortium dealing with the study on the suitability of the current limit values of directive 2000/14/EC, relating to the noise emissions in the environment by equipment for use outdoor, circulated a draft of its final report. CECE guidance papers on visibility due soon

BRUSSELS – CECE is preparing two guidance papers concerning the EN 474-1 standard regarding the operator’s view, one aimed specifically at manufacturers and the other one is a guidance on what the situation is in the absence of a harmonised standard (e.g. validity of EC declarations of conformity, etc.). CECE joins EU project on worker safety with contractors and trade unions

Roma Guziak extends stay as CECE communications assistance

BRUSSELS - Roma Guziak, who joined CECE and CEMA for an internship during the recent Summit in Brussels, will stay on board for an extended period as CECE communications assistant. Roma, a Polish national who studied journalism, communications science and electronic information processing in Cracow and Brussels, will take over part of the tasks of Valentina Mauri who recently left CECE to pursue new challenges in her public affairs career in Brussels. BRUSSELS/FRANKFURT—Equipment sales declined in the third quarter of 2015 as growth halted even beyond notorious markets like Russia and France.
