PRESIDENTS:

The President assisted by a first and second Vice-President ensures the co-ordination of work and the external representation of CECE.

PRESIDENTS' COMMITTEE:

The Presidents' Committee consists of the President, the Vice-Presidents and an industry representative from the national member associations.
 

The members are:

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee is composed of Directors of National Associations or persons proposed by them to fill this role. The Executive Committee has the widest powers for the administration and the management of the association.

The Executive Committee is chaired by the director of the member association that provides the President. At the moment the Executive Committee is chaired by Jorge Cuartero from AMNOPYC in Spain

GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The General Assembly consists of delegations from each member association.

CECE SECRETARIAT

The Secretariat of CECE is located in Brussels. It is in charge of the daily management of the association. The Secretariat is led by Ralf Wezel, the Secretary General of CECE. In addition there is Stephan Belaen, Advisor in charge of the technical work, Valentina Mauri as the Public Affairs and Communications Manager and Alisa James as the Office Manager. The administration of the statistical exchanges is handled by Hans-Jurgen Pons, who is based in the VDMA offices in Frankfurt.

TECHNICAL COMMISSION

The Technical Commission steers the technical work of CECE. It consists of technical experts from member associations as well as company experts nominated by the national associations.

The Technical Commission has formed a number of project teams to focus on specific technical and environmental questions.

MAIN STATISTICAL COMMISSION

The Main Statistical Commission brings together statistical and market experts from member associations and companies in order to optimize the statistical service of CECE.

In between the meetings of the Main Statistical Committee a Statistics Steering & Advisory Group prepares the decisions and takes care of upcoming tasks.

The representatives of CECE's Main Statistical Committee together with representatives of the sister associations from Japan, Korean and North-America form the Intercontinental Statistical Committee (ISC), which takes care of the worldwide statistical systems.

ECONOMIC COMMISSION

The Economic Commission meets annually to discuss the economic developments relevant for the construction equipment industry in Europe but also other important foreign markets.

WORLD TRADE COMMISSION

TPC focuses on 3 main topics: International trade, Market surveillance, Intellectual property rights and counterfeiting.
On International trade the Secretariat monitors the ongoing proposals coming from the EU institutions, consultations, and communications, with a particular focus on ongoing WTO negotiations, bilateral agreements with the most important commercial partners, problems relating to protectionists measures.

On market surveillance, CECE monitors activities at the many different levels and tries to raise the awareness of the EU institutions on this important issue which affects the competitiveness of our manufacturers.

The trade policy commission also informs members on intellectual property rights problems they might encounter when doing business in some countries outside Europe, as the legislation and bureaucracy of certain countries is particularly complicated for European manufacturers.

SECTIONS

Sections are CECE's groups for specific product-related topics. Here the management of companies that are active in a specific product segment meet to discuss common product-specific questions.
