Igor de Liefde is Product regulations & compliance manager at Hitachi Construction Machinery where he holds responsibility for European product compliance, regulatory affairs and road homologation. With extensive experience in European legislation and its market access requirements, he bridges the gap between EU policy and product design.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Igor is actively engaged in industry advocacy and representation as President of the Dutch association FMIB, member of the CECE General Assembly, Board and Technical Commission as well as member of the CEA, representing manufacturers at European and national levels.

Besides politics, Igor is active in European standardization as expert on safety of earth-moving machinery in CEN TC151/WG1 and Chair of the Dutch mirror committee at NEN.

As frequent contributor to discussions on safety, decarbonization, sustainability and regulatory policy, Igor is committed to supporting a competitive, innovative, and future-ready European construction equipment industry.
