Oliver Garnham recently graduated from JCB’s Degree Apprenticeship Programme and now works as a Sales Specialist where he engages with customers, dealers, government organisations and industry leaders.

Having successfully combined full-time employment with studying for a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Leadership, Oliver represents a growing number of young people entering manufacturing through apprenticeship pathways.

Throughout his apprenticeship, Oliver gained experience across a range of departments providing him with a broad understanding of how a global manufacturing business operates. His placements included time working in Supply Chain and Logistics, Capital Purchasing, Standards and Legislation and Commercial Operations.

Alongside his professional responsibilities, Oliver is a strong advocate for apprenticeships having represented JCB at a variety of careers fairs and industry engagement events, sharing his own experiences of the apprenticeship programme and encouraging young people to consider alternative pathways into professional careers.
