CECE at the World Demolition Summit

On November 7th and 8th Dublin is hosting the World Demolition Summit, a high-level conference gathering close to 350 delegates representing 131 companies from 38 countries.

Contractors, stakeholders and members of the World Demolition Awards judging panel will meet to exchange experiences and best practices and to discuss new tools and technologies, with a focus on recent regulations applied to the international demolition market and the ways to overcome specific challenges.

CECE Secretary General Riccardo Viaggi will deliver a presentation with the title “Digital technology and equipment – what it means for demolition”, a paper discussing current thinking and the impact of digital technology and equipment on the demolition industry of the future.

By referring to CECE Barometer and to the Business Climate Index, Riccardo Viaggi will also present recent market trends and economic conditions in the sector, tackling new business models for data sharing as well as the positive impact of the digitalisation wave on products, revenue models and safety. He will also address the importance of an innovative demolition approach, which must take into account relevant topics such as the recyclability of materials and future skills requirements.
