CECE Press Release: New platform helps navigate EU compliance requirements
The Committee for European Construction Equipment, CECE announced the launch of the new online platform www.compliantconstructionmachinery.eu that will function as a valuable resource for customers, users, custom officials and market surveillance authorities.

“Effective market surveillance is fundamental to ensuring fairness, safety and innovation in our industry,” said Riccardo Viaggi, CECE Secretary General. “With this new platform, CECE provides a valuable resource to help all stakeholders confidently navigate compliance requirements and support a level playing field in the Single Market.”
The first five guides on the platform offer authoritative guidance on the compliance of specific categories of construction machinery with European Union legislation. and serve as practical checklists – clarifying regulatory requirements, identifying what needs to be inspected and highlighting where missing information could render a machine non-compliant. The documents are being continuously updated, with further content already in development.
Designed as living, working documents, the brochures support all stakeholders across the construction equipment sector by promoting a common understanding of compliance obligations and helping ensure fair competition, safety and trust in the EU Single Market.
The platform was officially launched yesterday during the CECE Summit, focused on the crucial role of Market Surveillance in Europe. The event brought together EU policymakers, industry representatives and enforcement experts to discuss how effective market surveillance sustains fair competition, consumer safety and innovation in the construction equipment industry.
Speakers included representatives of the EU Institutions – MEP Brando Benifei, Member of the IMCO Committee and Barbara Bonvissuto, Director at the European Commission. The CECE voice was provided by Riccardo Viaggi, CECE Secretary General and moderator of the event and CECE Health & Safety Policy Manager, Martina Griffo.
CECE invites all professionals in the sector to explore and make use of the new online platform, contributing to a more compliant, competitive and trusted European construction equipment market.
