CECE Statistical Commission meets in Brussels to advance market data work
On 5th May, the CECE Statistical Commission met at the CECE office in Brussels to discuss key developments in industry data and market analysis.
The meeting covered updates on statistical reporting and prepared CECE’s input to the discussions on Intercontinental Statistics Committee (ISC) level, including electric machines and specific product groups such as wheel loaders, telehandlers, wheel excavators. Participants also identified measures to increase the quality of CECE’s European Retails data programme even further.
Further discussions highlighted ongoing initiatives such as CECE’s market estimating and forecasting project and the CECE Uptime Tracker.
Focus on the used equipment market
A key highlight of the meeting was an external presentation by Eoghan Simpson (Rouse Services) on the used equipment market in Europe. The session provided valuable insights into market dynamics and utilization trends, underlining the growing importance of the secondary market for the construction equipment industry.
