CECE team visits Komatsu Italy

The purpose of the visit was to expand the knowledge of the CECE team on earth moving equipment and on manufacturing of construction machinery on a daily basis. Experiencing the reality of the factory floor enriches our understanding of the European construction equipment sector.

After the introduction of company's history, including presentation of Komatsu's values and company's culture, the CECE team was familiarised with the vast range of products manufactured in Este. A fruitful discussion on electrification and electric job sites ensued. Komatsu colleagues outlined their strategy towards electrification aiming at reducing carbon emissions and creating a more sustainable future. 

A factory tour followed, during which we got to know more about Komatsu products and their manufacturing process.

Many thanks to the entire Komatsu Italia Manufacturing team for inviting us and organising an interesting program. Although the visit was short, it was nevertheless beneficial for all of us – only by observing the factory realm we are able to truly understand the vast range of products and their complexities, that CECE membership represents.
