Guiding the construction equipment sector through new challenges: CECE Summit 2017 speakers
BRUSSELS - The CECE Summit is approaching and we are proud to share with you some of the names who will give substance to this event trough their participation as speakers.
Prominent members of the Institutions, the Academia and the Industry will be giving their contribution to the debate which is focused on the topic “Industry and Politics: a Historic Transformation Process”. Among them, Wolfgang Burget, Managing Director at Liebherr-EMtec and Chairman of the CECE High-Level Technical Policy Advisory Group, will open the Technical Forum on digitization. In the same session, the MEP Reinhard Bütikofer (Greens/EFA) who, in the capacity of being a member of the Committee of Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), will give a speech on the digitisation of the European industry.
On the second day, two Italian experts will make a keynote speech in the part of the Economic Forum dedicated to the challenges related to the globalisation: Vladimiro Giacchè, President of Centro Europa Ricerche - a research institute in applied economic analysis focusing on the central issues for Italian and European economic policy - and Stefan Collignon, ordinary Professor of political economy at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa.
On the occasion of the Dinner Debate, which will take place at the European Parliament on 11th October (open only to Steering Group and HLTPAG Members), CECE President, Bernd Holz (Ammann), will speak about “Working for a DSM that is fit for purpose – views and needs of the machinery industry”. Another contribution from the industry will be given by the First Vice President of CECE Enrico Prandini (Komatsu). Finally, we are glad to announce that Birgit Weidel head of Unit at DG Grow (Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing Systems) will give a keynote speech on the proposal on the road circulation of mobile machinery.
