Vacancy Notice - Technical Policy Manager

CECE is looking for a dynamic and motivated Technical Policy Manager to lead and coordinate CECE’s work in the areas of internal market for machinery, standardisation & safety.

The Technical Policy Manager will:

  • Lead, organise, coordinate the work of the following CECE working groups:
    1. Machinery Regulation
    2. Outdoor Noise emissions
    3. Road-circulation
  • Engage with member associations & companies to facilitate discussions on these topics
  • Coordinate with colleagues the work of CECE Technical Commission
  • Initiate and coordinate the work towards drafting CECE position papers
  • Contribute to the work of the CECE High-Level Technical Policy Advisory Group
  • Regularly provide written content on the technical work for all CECE communication channels
  • Proactively inform members on technical aspects, including swift replies to questions
  • Propose, organise and provide input for any relevant advocacy actions
  • Create and maintain positive contacts with relevant European Commission services
  • Represent CECE in relevant working groups and task forces of Orgalim
  • Liaise with relevant EU-level stakeholders and represent CECE in joint Industry Task Forces
  • Cooperate with regional partner organizations worldwide on technical policy topics

Preferred candidate attributes are:

  • Proven experience in a similar position in EU trade association, institution or corporate
  • Proven track-record in effectively managing policy working groups of varied composition
  • Perfect knowledge of the European legislative process and of EU Comitology
  • Perfect communications skills (written and oral) in English
  • Technical university background is considered an asset

Terms and conditions:

CECE offers a permanent work contract under Belgian law (CDI) with competitive salary and benefits package. Flexible work arrangements for home office & remote work are part of CECE’s policy.
