CECE brings together technical experts from all over the world in Austria
From 3rd to 5th April 2019 technical experts from all over the world gathered in Innsbruck, Austria, to discuss relevant legislative and standardisation activities for the construction equipment sector. The event happens once a year and every time is organised by a different region.
CECE was the association responsible to organise this year’s event, which brought together more than 60 technical experts from member companies of different trade associations, including AEM – Association of Equipment Manufacturers (USA), CCMA – China Construction Machinery Association, CEMA – Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (Japan), CMEIG – The Construction and Mining Equipment Industry Group (Australia), iCEMA – Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association and KOCEMA – Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association.
During the Joint Technical Liason Meeting (JTLM), participants exchanged information on a range of different topics. Each association made an update on international and national standardisation activities, international environmental issues such as CO2 and engine emissions, and relevant technical legislation for the construction equipment sector including mobile road machinery, market surveillance, radio equipment, silica regulation, tower crane regulation, waste, mining regulations and Low Emission Zones.
The next JTLM meeting in 2020 will take place in Las Vegas, USA, following the CONEXPO-CON/AGG from Sunday 15th March until Tuesday 17th March 2020.
For CECE Members - the JTLM edition of the Technical Bulletin will be published soon. Log in to your CECE Members Area to view the publication.
