European Commission presents the European Green Deal's Investment Plan

The European Union is committed to becoming the first climate-neutral bloc in the world by 2050. To achieve this objective, significant investments from the EU, national administration and the private sector are required.

On 14th January the European Commission presented the European Green Deal's Investment Plan – the so-called Sustainable Europe Investment Plan - which will lead to at least 1 trillion Euro investments over the course of 10 years.

As part of the Green Deal's Investment Plan, the Just Transition Mechanism will provide support to those regions that are particularly affected by the green transition from an economic and social point of view. This adjustment mechanism addresses specifically European regions where the economy still relies considerably on fossil fuels.
