Technical experts from around the world held their quarterly online meeting
On 12th June 2023, the members of the Joint Technical Liaison Meeting (JTLM) came together virtually for their quarterly meeting. On that occasion, the members took stock of the 33rd JTLM organised by AEM, CECE’s North American sister association, that was held in Las Vegas from 15th to 17th March, in parallel with the CONEXPO-CON/AGG trade fair 2023.
At this stage, the JTLM members agreed to relocate the next edition to a new country that has yet to be determined. The possibility of setting a new hosting rotation was also discussed.
With regard to PFAS, the JTLM coordinated its efforts to provide a coherent NRMM industry’s response, across continents, to the many regulatory instruments and restrictions being brought into force in that realm. The discussions revolved around the ongoing stakeholder consultation organised by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) that multiple JTLM members already reponded to.
In addition, the JTLM decided to continue cooperating on the standards for Alternative Power.
JTLM’s next online quarterly meeting will take place around mid-September 2023.
